CABLE LIFE EXTENSION

Prevent premature or unnecessary cable replacements with our class approved coating systems. Cables that are exposed to UV, heat, or extreme environmental conditions, can become a safety hazard; our rejuvenation process will create a protective new outer layer, which in turn can restore and upgrade the cables’ insulation properties.

We coat all visible sides of a cable or bundle, and where required, the cable support. The coating remains flexible throughout its lifetime and works as a barrier, creating a more stable electrical environment as well as preventing further cable degradation, with enhanced fire protection as an additional bonus. The coating has been tested and is used in Australian harsh UV conditions.

Our cable rejuvenation process will reduce the risk to the life and assets associated with UV damaged and aging cables, and significantly extend the life of these cables are ready to continue their operation uninterrupted. This translates to avoid unnecessary downtime and costly cable replacement and ensure your business’ success with our life extension service. 

NON-DISRUPTIVE CABLE REPAIR

Our repair services are designed to be non-disruptive, thus removing the costly need for cable replacements and shutdowns. We’ll fully repair and restore cables which means tape, repair, sheath, and coat cables that have suffered UV, mechanical, fire, or environmental damage, often while the cable is energised. 

After manually rebuilding the damaged sheaths and restoring insulation and mechanical integrity, the cables are protected against environmental stress and further damage. 

When the sheaths are more severely damaged, we remove the damaged section and rebuild the braiding and sheath to create a more bespoke solution that accounts for unique cable types of technical specifications. 

CABLE FIRE PROTECTION

By layering your electric cables in our fire-proof coating, you can protect yourself against loss of life and loss of production. Our coatings, which can be applied to live cables to reduce operations disruptions, prevent flame propagation and prevent escalation from a small fire to a major incident. 

Our two-system coating involves intumescent cable coating, which expands during a fire to create a thick char foam that shields the cables, and our ablative coating, which protects the cable through a physical reaction that converts large amounts of energy and water vapour into a shield and protects the cable from heat and flames.

This system means that your electrical components will continue to operate after an incident, without the need to halt operations to replace cables. We’ll work with you to understand your concerns and identify the opportunities to increase the resilience of your cables.
